BOHOL ISLAND STATE UNIVERSITY MOURNS DEATH OF EMPLOYEE
THE BOHOL Island State University (BISU) community is mourning the death of one of its employees, who was found dead on July 21, 2026, in Barangay Can-olin, Candijay, Bohol.
In a statement, the university expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Dexter “Dex” Timbal Hinayon, Administrative Officer II of the BISU Candijay Campus, describing him as a dedicated public servant and a valued member of the BISU community.
The university said Hinayon’s commitment, service, and kindness left a lasting impact on colleagues, students, alumni, and stakeholders across its campuses.
BISU also extended its deepest sympathies to Hinayon’s family, loved ones, and friends, assuring them of the university’s solidarity and prayers during this difficult time.
The university said the appropriate authorities are already investigating the incident and appealed to the public to refrain from spreading speculation or unverified information that could further distress the bereaved family.
It likewise urged everyone to respect the family’s privacy and allow them to grieve with dignity and compassion.
Expressing confidence in the ongoing legal process, BISU said it hopes the investigation will uncover the truth and ensure that justice is served without delay.
“In this difficult moment, we remain united in prayer and in our shared hope that truth, justice, and peace shall prevail,” the university said.
