TO DISSEMINATE information on home-grown technologies, the Bicol University recently launched the first episode of a weekly radio broadcast through the Radyo Veritas-Legazpi.

Radyo Veritas will air “Programang Pang-edukasyon at Pangkabuhayan” every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The university said the program will continue until December 2021 and will tackle topics on technology, livelihood, and education.

“The launching program was hosted by Prof. Edgar Barrameda, a professor of BU College of Business Economics and Management and chairperson of the Department of Entrepreneurship,” the school said.

“The debut program featured BU President Arnulfo M. Mascariñas who spoke on the thrusts and priorities of BU under the new normal — the 40-million multifunctional gymnasium on the BU Polangui Campus, the two-story BU College of Agriculture and Forestry dormitory, and the three-story BU College of Law building,” it added.

Mascariñas announced plans to turn the BUREPC Building into a Business Incubation and Space Center, which will showcase university-developed innovations. He said that an Infirmary Building with a capacity of 20 beds will also be constructed.
