THE BENGUET State University will give its students and teachers a five-day academic break to allow them to relax and ‘destress’.

The break will be on October 26 to 30, 2020, the BSU Supreme Student Government La Trinidad announced on Facebook.

“Faculty members are advised not to give any activities such as quiz, assignments, or any form of examinations to the students. Students while on academic break are advised not to travel or loiter,” it added.

A memorandum issued by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs said that the break aims to give students and faculty a ‘breathing room’.

“There is no doubt both the faculty members and students were hassled due to the implementation of flexible learning as the learning delivery mode this semester. Due to flexible learning, it created many stressors and has altered the working schedules of faculty members,” the memo said.

The SSG thanked the university for heeding the call for a short break.
