THE BATANGAS State University held groundbreaking rites for the new University facade at the Pablo Borbon campus.

University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo led the ceremony along with other University officials.

The P18-million-project is part of the school’s disaster preparedness efforts, which are being coordinated by the Adaptive Capacity-Building and Technology Innovation for Occupational Hazards and Natural Disasters Center.

The project will provide additional access and egress points to reduce traffic during normal operations and in the event of an emergency.

The BatStateU said that the new facade, facing the Batangas City Convention Center, also represents the University’s prospective future developments.
