AUF SHIFTS TO ONLINE LEARNING DUE TO FLOODING, HEAVY RAINS

/ 1 September 2026

ANGELES University Foundation (AUF) will shift to online learning and close its campus on September 1, 2026, following heavy rains and flooding that affected students and personnel.

In an advisory, AUF said students from preschool to college will attend asynchronous online classes, while the School of Law, School of Medicine, and Graduate School will adopt alternative learning modalities to be determined by their respective academic units.

Examinations at the School of Medicine will also be rescheduled.

The university campus will remain closed, while offices and units will implement work-from-home arrangements where applicable. Only personnel required for campus security and other essential operations will be allowed to report onsite, subject to road and weather conditions and coordination with their supervisors.

AUF also opened its hostel to employees whose homes have been submerged or severely affected by flooding. Employees who need temporary accommodation may coordinate with their respective department heads.

Meanwhile, the University Health Services, in coordination with the College of Allied Medical Professions, will conduct an online information session on leptospirosis prevention and the use of doxycycline for students and faculty members who may have been exposed to floodwaters.

Telemedicine consultations will also be available to students and employees, while the university’s Guidance and Counseling Center will continue to provide assistance.
