ATENEO OPENS JAB SITE

/ 6 May 2021

THE ATENEO de Manila University has converted its Grade School cafeteria into a Covid19 vaccination site for Quezon City residents.

“The vaccination site is open for Quezon City residents who belong to the A1, A2, and A3 priority groups, as mandated by the national government. Only those who have confirmed slots, booked through the eZConsult application or through their barangays, are accommodated at the venue,” ADMU said.

Since the school’s cafeteria has open spaces and good air circulation, the university said the venue is an ideal place for mass vaccination.

“The area around the cafeteria also allows for more space for patients who will have to wait their turn to get inoculated,” ADMU said.

The university said it is also coordinating with the Philippine Red Cross and the city government in providing an isolation facility for patients with mild symptoms or asymptomatic .

The collaboration is in line with the agreement between the Commission on Higher Education and the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines to establish vaccination centers in campuses.
