STUDENT groups at the Ateneo de Naga University have demanded the expulsion of a male student who allegedly committed sexual harassment on some female learners .

The issue has surfaced after a lady  student from another university shared her story on Twitter.

She claimed that a certain VLG, reportedly a first-year accountancy student of ADNU, has blackmailed her to send more lewd photos of herself or he will send the victim’s other nude photos to her ex-boyfriend or post it on social media.

Other victims of VLG have also surfaced and reportedly narrated similar distasteful stories. One student has claimed that the alleged ‘sexual predator’ had raped her friend.

The students said that VLG has manipulated his victims through threats of self-harm or guilt-tripping. “VLG is a threat to the safety of the students,” they added.

“In seeking justice and ensuring that the university is a safe space for learning, it is necessary to consider the expulsion of Mr. VLG, especially after the administration’s thorough investigation of this controversy as he is a threat to the safety of the students,” the groups said on Facebook.

The school administration has promised to probe the allegations.

It urged other victims of sexual harassment in the university to come forward and file a complaint.

“All forms of sexual harassment and abuse are completely unacceptable. We have never tolerated sexual harassment of students or employees by members of its faculty or staff, its students, or by other agents of the University and will respond in a suitable manner to every complaint,” ADNU said on Facebook.

Suspect VLG has yet to answer the allegations.
