FOUR undergraduate programs of the Technological University of the Philippines were accredited by the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations University Network-Quality Assurance.

These are BS Accountancy and BS Chemical Engineering in TIP Manila campus and BS Architecture and BS Business Administration in TIP Quezon City campus.

The accreditation placed the programs at par with the education standards set by quality universities in ASEAN.

TIP now has eight programs that passed the AUN-QA assessment, the school said.

The AUN-QA assessment at program level (version 4) covers eight criteria including expected Learning Outcomes; Program Structure and Content; Teaching and Learning Approach; Student Assessment; Academic Staff; Student Support Services; Facilities and Infrastructure and Output and Outcomes.

The AUN-QA, composed of chief quality officers appointed by the AUN member universities, acts as the focal point for coordinating activities to harmonize educational standards for the continuous improvement of academic quality of universities in ASEAN.
