ARELLANO University will open classes on August 28.

AU announced that pre-school to high school classes will start as scheduled under its flexible learning scheme called “Pegasus Learning Management System.”

College and graduate school classes will start on August 24 also using PLMS.

“Arellano University is one with the government to ensure the safety of our faculty, students and that systems are in place for the opening of online classes,” AU said.

Commission on Higher Education Chairman Prospero De Vera said universities like AU are entitled to open their school year as approved by its governing board.

“‘Yung batas na ginamit para i-move ‘yung opening ng classes to October 5, hindi covered ang CHED niyan. Ang covered niyan K-12 and DepEd,” De Vera said in an interview with CNN Philippines.

To compensate for the students’ lack of internet connection, AU students may avail of free prepaid wifi modems to be used for online classes.
