/ 11 December 2021

THE ATENEO de Manila University on Friday announced that it will start holding face-to-face classes in select degree programs in January 2022.

It said that physical classes will be conducted in phases, beginning with the Loyola Schools and the Professional Schools.

Graduating students will be given priority.

“The campus will also be gradually opened to allow other academic activities such as research, teacher consultation, and counseling and psychological services,” the university said in a statement.

“Strict safety and health protocols are in place to protect the Ateneo community. All employees and guests entering our campuses (Loyola Heights, Rockwell, Pasig, and Salcedo) should be fully vaccinated, or undergo the appropriate Covid19 testing to be prescribed by the University physician,” it added.

Last January, the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health started holding limited onsite classes in its Ortigas, Pasig campus.

This was done in accordance with government regulations, and in strict observance of health protocols.
