MORE than 82 percent of the student population of the University of Santo Tomas have been fully vaccinated against Covid19.

School Health Service Director Dr. Sheryl Dionisio reported that 38,535 out of 46,480 or 82.90 percent of students have already been jabbed, while 342 learners or 0.73 percent have yet to receive their second dose.

Dionisio noted 1,943 of the university’s 2,296 teachers have been fully inoculated, too, while adding 681 out of 698 of UST’s non-teaching personnel have already completed their Covid19 vaccination.

Last month, UST Secretary General Fr. Louie Coronel said only fully vaccinated students will be allowed to enter the campus.

“University staff and students shall be required to show their vaccination cards at the entrance of each building. Only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed onsite, whether for work or study,” Coronel said.

The Commission on Higher Education earlier announced limited in-person classes in all degree programs have been allowed for up to 50 percent capacity in areas under Alert Level 2.
