/ 6 January 2022

THE MANAGEMENT Committee of the City of Malabon University said that 75 percent of its employees experienced Covid-like symptoms.

This prompted the university to release a memo ordering a 48-hour temporary shutdown effective Thursday.

All of its employees will be under a work-from-home scheme until further notice.

CMU added that it also has 14 active cases of Covid19 and 21 others are awaiting the results of their swab tests.

“Regarding this, we apologize in advance for any inconvenience that this precaution may cause,” CMU said in a statement.

“However, let us continue to pray for everyone’s safety during these times. Stay safe and healthy!” it added.

The Department of Heath reported 10,775 new cases of Covid19 on Wednesday, bringing the total to 2,871,745 confirmed cases across the country.
