We all have that dream of staying up with friends and family just to marvel at the sight of the night sky and the Moon, right? Through UP Astronomical Society’s celebration of the International Observe the Moon Night, we did exactly that and much more!

Last October 16, 2021, UP AstroSoc’s InOMN was able to channel our curiosities about the universe and aggregate it into something grounded in our community. Thanks to the people who tuned in on the live stream and donated, InOMN was able to raise proceeds for Cottolengo Filipino Inc., an institution that rehabilitates and cares for neglected persons with disabilities to become empowered and Rise for Education Alliance – UP Diliman’s #TulongIsko initiative that aims to aid UPD students who have little to no access to resources for remote learning.

Music and poetry also filled the night sky as uplifting performances from That Band Astra, Hana Dulcet, and more raised our excitement and soothing tunes from Dez and Del, Amiel Sol, and more transported us to other worlds. All of these while the Moon stares back at us on one dreamy night.
