ATENEO ISSUES CLASS SUSPENSION GUIDELINES
THE ATENEO de Manila University has released the guidelines on the suspension of online classes during inclement weather.
All synchronous activities including classes, oral exams, presentations, and other assignments will be suspended under any storm signal.
This is in anticipation of poor internet connectivity.
Under the memorandum issued by Vice President Maria Luz Vilches, under storm signal no. 2, faculty members have to exercise kindness and flexibility and postpone the submission deadlines of the requirements until weather conditions improve.
Meanwhile, all class activities in synchronous and asynchronous modes will be suspended under typhoon signal no. 3 and above.
“Our value of cura personalis should manifest itself most palpably in dire situations. I encourage everyone to err on the side of compassion in the exercise of our duties and responsibilities in this ministry we call Ateneo education,” Vilches said.
