THE QUEZON City government has officially commended students from Miriam College High School (MCHS) for their outstanding achievements in recent international music and dance competitions.

In July, the MCHS Glee Club brought pride to the nation by earning two gold medals and a special award at the Musica Orbis Prague Festival 2026 in the Czech Republic.

Continuing the winning streak, the school’s dance troupes, Sayawtha and Sayawtha Junior, represented the Philippines at the prestigious 2026 World Hip-Hop Dance Championship in Phoenix, Arizona. Sayawtha Junior secured the bronze medal in the Junior Division, while the varsity team placed sixth in the Varsity Division.

To formally recognize their stellar performances, the Quezon City Council awarded the students congratulatory resolutions (City Resolution Nos. SP-10616, S-2026 and SP-10718, S-2026). The resolutions were authored by Councilors Nanette Castelo-Daza and Dorothy Delarmente.
