TESDA BOLSTERS MANILA BARANGAY SKILLS PROGRAM WITH BAKING EQUIPMENT
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has provided additional equipment to support Manila’s “Manpower sa Barangay, Kaagapay sa Kaalaman” program, which seeks to expand access to skills training and livelihood opportunities at the community level.
TESDA turned over two sets of Bread and Pastry Production equipment to benefit 14 barangays in Zone 9, Tondo, Manila.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno thanked TESDA for supporting the initiative, which seeks to equip residents with practical skills that could help them secure employment or establish their own sources of income.
Moreno also emphasized the importance of partnerships with businesses and other sectors in creating employment and livelihood opportunities for Manila residents.
Among those expected to benefit from the program are senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and solo parents. Through the skills training, beneficiaries will have opportunities to develop competencies they can use for employment or livelihood activities.
Moreno said continuous training could help more Manila residents qualify for employment opportunities offered by businesses operating in the city.
“Sige, i-train natin.
