VALENZUELA YOUTH LEADER JOINS ASEAN 2026 FORUM ON NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
A YOUNG representative from Valenzuela City highlighted the important role of Filipino youth in promoting healthier communities during the ASEAN Conference on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) 2026.
Lyra Ashley Embalsado, representing the Valenzuela Young Heroes, participated in the Youth Forum held on August 6, 2026, at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
During the forum, Embalsado shared the perspectives of Filipino youth in discussions on preventing non-communicable diseases, promoting healthy lifestyles, and strengthening youth participation in efforts to build healthier communities.
The Valenzuela City Government said the Valenzuela Young Heroes program continues to nurture young leaders who champion public health, community empowerment and positive social change.
The city government also underscored the importance of providing young people with opportunities to participate in regional discussions and initiatives that promote health and well-being.
Through youth participation in programs such as the ASEAN NCDs 2026 Youth Forum, Valenzuela City seeks to empower young people to become active partners in advancing a healthier, stronger and more resilient ASEAN community.
