QUEZON CITY STRENGTHENS STUDENTS’ DISASTER PREPAREDNESS THROUGH ‘BATANG QC, LAGING READY’ CARAVAN

/ 23 July 2026

THE QUEZON City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO) continues to strengthen its disaster preparedness advocacy among students through its “Batang QC, Laging Ready” Caravan.

The QCDRRMO conducted the sixth leg of the caravan at San Antonio Elementary School, where young learners took part in interactive activities and disaster preparedness sessions aimed at enhancing their knowledge and readiness in times of emergencies.

The initiative seeks to equip students with the skills needed to respond to various hazards by teaching them how to identify potential risks, understand proper emergency procedures, and develop safety awareness during disasters.

Through engaging discussions and learning exercises, students gained valuable insights on disaster response and the importance of preparedness in protecting themselves, their families, and their communities.

According to the QCDRRMO, the program aims to instill a culture of disaster preparedness among children at an early age, empowering them to become more alert, informed, and capable of responding effectively during emergencies.
