BPSF OPENS DOORS TO JOBS FOR SHS GRADUATES NATIONWIDE

/ 22 March 2026

THE BAGONG Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) is emerging as a vital employment gateway for Senior High School (SHS) graduates seeking immediate job opportunities, as the Department of Education continues the nationwide rollout of the initiative.

Designed as an inter-agency effort, the program addresses the financial and bureaucratic barriers faced by first-time jobseekers. In its recent runs across Sorsogon, Cebu, and Davao del Norte, a total of 241 SHS Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) graduates and Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners were hired on the spot.

This builds on earlier high-impact implementations in public schools in Makati, Mandaluyong, and Caloocan. Through close collaboration between DepEd, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and other partner agencies, the initiative integrates employment document processing with job matching services—particularly targeting graduating learners.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara emphasized that the program supports President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to ease the transition of SHS-TVL graduates into the workforce.

“This initiative ensures that our graduates leave not only with a diploma, but with a clear pathway to employment through a one-stop shop,” Angara said.

Across key BPSF sites—including Gallanosa National High School, Casiguran Technical Vocational School, and Bulan National High School in Sorsogon; Talisay City National High School; and the Panabo City Gym—a total of 1,747 jobseekers registered and participated in the job facilitation activities.

By consolidating essential government services in one venue, the BPSF significantly reduces the cost and complexity of pre-employment requirements, making it easier for young Filipinos to secure their first jobs.
