MANILA CONTINUES ‘YORMILK’ DISTRIBUTION FOR YOUNG LEARNERS

/ 23 January 2026

MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno on Thursday announced the continuation of the city government’s ‘Yormilk’ program, now on its second week of distribution, benefiting children enrolled in Child Development Centers across the City of Manila.

According to Moreno, the Manila Department of Social Welfare is leading the ongoing rollout of the milk-feeding initiative, which aims to improve the nutrition and overall health of young learners.

Through the ‘Yormilk’ program, children are provided with essential nutrients such as calcium, protein, and vitamins that support physical growth, brain development, and stronger immunity.

City officials said the program also helps give children a healthy start in life, contributing to better nutrition, increased participation in school activities, and improved overall well-being.

Moreno emphasized that the city remains committed to programs that prioritize the health, growth, and development of every Batang Maynila, especially during the critical early childhood years.

The ‘Yormilk’ initiative forms part of the Manila city government’s broader efforts to promote child welfare and preventive healthcare, ensuring that young residents receive proper nourishment to support their long-term development.
