PBBM URGES FILIPINO YOUTH TOUSE SKILLS TO MODERNIZE PH AGRI
PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has called on the Filipino youth to harness their skills and help modernize the country’s agriculture sector.
Marcos emphasized that engaging young people in agriculture can be achieved through the use of technology.
“Tinanong din ako ng ating mga kasamang magsasaka kung paano maeengganyo ang mga kabataan sa pagsasaka dahil matanda na ang ating mga farmer. Ang sagot ko—teknolohiya,” he said.
“We must use technology. Nakakaunawa ang kabataan sa mga bagong teknolohiya,” the President stressed.
He also noted that young people are better equipped to understand and apply innovations such as the state-of-the-art mobile soil laboratory.
Last Tuesday, during his visit to Muñoz City, Nueva Ecija—one of the country’s central rice-producing provinces—Marcos oversaw the deployment of 16 mobile soil laboratories.
