SENATOR Imee Marcos is pushing for the establishment of a Cebu Normal University (CNU) campus in the municipality of Argao through Senate Bill No. 2993.

In her bill, Marcos said Argao is one of the first-class municipalities in Cebu and deserves improved access to quality education through a dedicated CNU campus.

“The establishment of a CNU-Argao campus will bridge educational gaps caused by limited access, housing costs, and transportation,” she said in her explanatory note.

Under the proposal, the CNU-Argao Campus will offer short-term and undergraduate programs aligned with the university’s areas of specialization. The municipal government of Argao is expected to assist CNU in determining the campus site.
