SENATOR Sherwin Gatchalian on Sunday (15 June 2025) said all administrative regions in the country will have at least two Philippine Science High School (PSHS) campuses.

Gatchalian said the Senate has ratified the bicameral conference committee report on the Expanded Philippine Science High School System Act, which establishes the PSHS System under the administrative supervision of the Department of Science and Technology.

The ratified measure provides that each administrative region shall have at least two PSHS campuses, which must not be situated in the same province—or in the same city in the case of the National Capital Region.

“Sa pagtatatag natin ng mga Philippine Science High School campuses sa bawat rehiyon sa bansa, maihahatid natin sa mas maraming mga kabataan ang pagkakataong makatanggap ng dekalidad na edukasyon sa science, technology, engineering, at mathematics,” Gatchalian said.

“Mahalaga ito dahil magsisilbi itong pundasyon sa pagsulong ng inobasyon sa ating bansa,” he added.

To date, there are 16 PSHS campuses nationwide.
