MSU-IIT PARTNERS WITH PHILIPPINE ARMY FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
THE MINDANAO State University-Iligan Institute of Technology and the Philippine Army’s Research and Development Center, under the Army Support Command, have joined forces to foster collaboration and develop projects based on equality and reciprocity.
A memorandum of understanding signed last month outlines joint initiatives, including research collaborations, academic information exchange, lectures, symposia, student internships, and professional development for technical staff.
“This partnership will focus on a range of critical areas, from technology development to environmental sustainability and logistics innovation,” said MSU-IIT Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Pamela Resurreccion.
She added, “The potential projects could address both military needs and civilian concerns, contributing to national growth and improving the quality of life across the country.”
The partnership seeks to bridge academic excellence with real-world applications, addressing national defense needs while advancing civilian welfare.
Aside from Prof. Resurreccion, the signing ceremony was attended by College of Engineering Dean Dr. Maria Sheila Ramos, DMRET faculty point person Dr. Ivyleen Arugay, and other DMRET faculty members. Joining virtually were LTC Rodolfo G. Tubera, Jr., RDC Director, and personnel from the Material Development Division.
