THE CITY Government of Valenzuela signed a Memorandum of Agreement  with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company to provide 5G-ready sim cards for its students.

PLDT turned over a total of 8,524 sim cards with an allotted data package of Smart Giga Study plan 299.

The package includes 4GB open access data plus an additional 1GB data per day for educational applications for 30 days.

The sim cards will be distributed to students of Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, and Valenzuela Polytechnic College.

The city will also let students of the three schools use Canvas, a learning management system, for free as their virtual classroom due to the ban on face-to-face classes brought about by the Covid19 pandemic.

It also said students who missed out on their previous lessons can view it at the Department of Education Valenzuela’s Youtube channel.
