CALOOCAN LGU RELAUNCHES BALIK ESKWELA: LIBRENG GUPIT PROGRAM
THE CITY Government of Caloocan has re-launched its annual Balik Eskwela: Libreng Gupit program held at various city schools in both North and South Caloocan to help the students welcome the new school year
The said free haircut program will continue to be held until August 22, and is available for students, teachers, and even parents.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo ‘Along’ Malapitan noted that the free haircut is just one of the ways of his administration to encourage the youth to shift their focus to their academic life and away from other distractions.
The local chief executive likewise assured his constituents that the city government already has programs in place to better assist all the education stakeholders, from basic education until they have finished college.
Aside from the ongoing free haircut program, the city government has previously provided complete sets of school supplies and bags to thousands of elementary school students.
