AN ALUMNA of the University of the East was nominated as the Female Radio DJ of the Year in the 5th Annual Village Pipol Choice Award.

Lara Mae Ancanan, more popularly known as DJ Lindsay, had been a disc jockey at radio station Energy FM for several years.

She hosts the program ‘Lihim ng Liham’ every weekday at 7 a.m.

Ancanan earned her BA in Broadcasting from the UE College of Arts and Sciences-Manila in 2011.

The VPCA is an awards ceremony organized by NCR-based publication Village Pipol and its parent company RED Entertainment, Inc.

It acknowledges people’s choices in categories such as travel, lifestyle, technology, business, and entertainment.

The VPCA awards night will be held on May 21, 2024, at the Glass Garden in Pasig City.
