NEUST SUSPENDS CLASSES DUE TO BOMB THREAT
THE NUEVA Ecija University of Science and Technology suspended classes on Tuesday, following a bomb threat received by the school.
According to The Blaze, the official student publication of the university, NEUST ordered its campuses in Gen. Tinio St., Sumacab, San Isidro, Gabaldon, Atate, and Fort Magsaysay to suspend classes and inspect their facilities.
The Blaze said that the university received a bomb threat in its email address on Tuesday, along with other state colleges and universities in Region 3.
NEUST coordinated with the bomb squad and was marked safe to continue operations.
Students from NEUST were alarmed by the news, noting that bomb threats should have no place in academic settings.
Several other offices in Luzon also received bomb threats on Monday, like the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Quezon City.
