PNP VOWS PROTECTION OF STUDENTS
THE Philippine National Police vowed to protect students, their parents and guardians as well as teachers as schools reopened on August 29, 2023.
The PNP strategically set up 6,159 Police Assistance Desks near educational establishments in various regions.
These assistance desks provide immediate support and guidance to the school community and ensure swift response during emergencies.
“Guided by an unyielding dedication to public safety, we are fully prepared to create a secure and conducive environment for our students as they embark on another year of learning,” PNP chief General Benjamin Acorda Jr. said.
The PNP vowed to maintain a vigilant presence especially on the opening day of classes. It encouraged parents/guardians, students, and educational staff to collaborate with law enforcers in fostering a secure and conducive learning environment.
“We remain resolute in our duty to ensure the welfare and security of the Filipino youth. By combining proactive measures with the dedication of our police personnel, the PNP aims to contribute to a productive and safe academic year for all,” Acorda said.
