SHORTAGE OF CLASSROOMS BEING ADDRESSED — PBBM
PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday gave assurances that the government is addressing the shortage of classrooms and facilities in schools.
In his second State of the Nation Address, Marcos reported that 187 classrooms are being constructed. He added that 1,014 school facilities were built and 6 Last Miles Schools were established.
He added that 2,259 classrooms were repaired in his first year of governance.
“Aside from new constructions, schools and facilities are being retrofitted to become ready for the future—ready for hybrid and high-tech learning, and also climate-ready and disaster-proof,” he said.
The President also acknowledged the efforts of Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte in the implementation of learning recovery programs.
