SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go emphasized the importance of supporting the youth in pursuing their passion and ensuring that they reach their full potential in any field or career they choose.

The senator made the statement during the 22nd Araw ng Sibugay celebration and Sibug-Sibug Festival in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, which highlighted its 1st Mobile Legends: Bang Bang or MLBB Tournament, the province’s first and biggest face-to-face e-sports competition yet.

In his message to the e-sports athletes, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports said he believes that the tournament will not only bring joy to the people, especially the youth, but also provide opportunities for them to showcase their skills in various fields, including e-sports.

“Napakaganda rin ng tema ng inyong kauna-unahang Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Tournament, ‘Be the First and Be the Best.’ Ito ay isang hamon para sa lahat ng mga kabataan upang magpakita ng kanilang kagalingan at kahusayan sa larangan na kanilang pinili,” Go said.

He noted that playing e-sports has benefits for the youth and that the event will not only hone the skills of the youth in gaming but will also allow them to meet and socialize with fellow youth from different parts of the country.

“Higit sa lahat, ang paglalaro ng e-sports ay nakakatulong sa kanila na magkaroon ng disiplina. Sa pamamagitan ng paglalaro, natututo silang magtulungan upang makamit ang isang layunin at maging mas mahusay sa kanilang ginagawa,” he added.
