PRESIDENT Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. ordered the suspension of government work and classes on Monday, September 26, due to Super Typhoon Karding.
Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said the President made the move based on National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s (NDRRMC) recommendation.
“The President has approved the recommendation of the NDRRMC for the suspension of work and classes due to Typhoon Karding,” Cruz-Angeles said in a statement.
The NDRRMC’s recommendation covers Regions I, II, III, V, CAR, NCR, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA.
“Karding” made landfall in Burdeos, Quezon at 5:30 p.m. on. Sunday.
It is expected to blow out of the country on Tuesday.
