P15-M ILOILO PUBLIC LIBRARY NOW OPEN
ILOILO City allocated a total of P15 million for the construction of the Ramon Avancea Learning Center in Arevalo Plaza.
Mayor Jerry Treñas signed the funding allocation following the approval made by the city council.
Treñas stressed district libraries will help revive the love for reading of the citizens.
“We have also named them in honor of our Ilonggo heroes in their district of birth,” he said.
The mayor created district libraries to bring education to residents.
The library is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday until Friday at Sta. Filomena Day Care Center in Arevalo.
The chief executive thanked Sigma Alpha Epsilon Philippines-International, UP Sigma Rho Fraternity, Dr. Graciano Lopez Jaena Chapter Order of Demolay, and book donors.
Computers and wifi connection are also available in the facilities for individuals who want to study, research, and review.
