MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY PLANS TO OFFER LAW COURSE
THE MINDANAO State University plans to establish its College of Law department.
MSU Chancellor Nagder Abdurahman pushed the initiative after securing the support of Sulu Gov. Sakur Tan.
Abdurahman said all necessary preparations have been made.
“Instructors who are mostly composed of MSU alumni can conduct face-to-face classes if given the go-ahead signal,” he said.
Tan expressed his unwavering support and aid for the MSU’s decision to move forward with this effort.
Meanwhile, Tan asked the MSU to focus on agricultural courses, saying the province has naturally rich soil and a huge agricultural area with a variety of fruit trees, abaca, cocoa, and coffee, of which Sulu is famous for.
“Agriculture is all around us. It is the number one source of livelihood for our people. We must capacitate our people in this regard and invest some technology into it,” he said.
