Lyceum of the Philippines University’s Enoch Valdez paced Team Heroes with 16 points alongside nine rebounds and one block to be hailed as the All-Star Game MVP for his all-around performance.

Meanwhile, Chef Jose Sarasola, rose as the first-ever Celebrity MVP of the GMA-NCAA All-Star Game after firing 14 points on 4 of 7 shooting for Team Saints.

Team Saints impressed the game early as Saint Benilde’s Will Gozum and Abando nailed several dunks in the first half, including a huge 360 slam and an alley-oop finish from the Letran star that wowed the audience.

Heroes coach Randy Alcantara and Saints tactician Bonnie Tan went all-NCAA players in the final two minutes which resulted in a back-and-forth affair.

Team Heroes instructed a 4-0 run capped by a Delos Santos layup and a Bonifacio and-one play to a 109-105 lead with 1:38 left on the clock.

But, Team Saints managed to tie the knot at 109-all after a pair of free throws from Perpetual stars Kim Aurin and Jielo Razon.

Valdez had the chance to win it for Heroes but fell short to get the shot in time which was given a 24-second violation.

Meanwhile, Ralph Penuela of Saints missed the potential game-winning layup at the buzzer.

Allen Liwag finished with 15 points to go along with four assists, and three boards, while Warren Bonifacio added 13 points and nine boards for Team Heroes, which bannered players from Mapua, Arellano, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Lyceum, and Jose Rizal University.

Kim Aurin tallied 13 points, five assists, and four rebounds, while Penuela tallied 11 points and five boards for Team Saints which featured standouts from Letran, San Beda, Perpetual, St. Benilde, and San Sebastian.
