PILOT IMPLEMENTATION OF F2F CLASSES ‘HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL’, SAYS BRIONES
EDUCATION Secretary Leonor Briones on Tuesday said that the pilot implementation of limited face-to-face classes was “highly successful.”
Briones said that around 15,000 students from 287 schools participated in the pilot phase from November 15 to December 22.
She noted that there was no recorded confirmed case of Covid19 in any of the participating schools.
“Learners, teachers, and parents reported a high level of feeling of safety while participating in physical classes,” Briones told the President during the Talk to the People.
“Students and parents have high satisfaction levels in the implementation of health and safety protocols,” she added.
Moreover, Briones said that there was also a “high level of confidence” to expand and continue limited physical classes.
She recommended to President Duterte a “progressive expansion” of limited F2F classes in February in areas under Alert Level 1 and 2.
“Only vaccinated teachers and non-teaching will participate in the F2F. Participation by vaccinated students shall be preferred,” she said.
