CHED, IATF TO DECIDE ON EXPANSION OF F2F CLASSES
EXPANDING the holding of face-to-face classes no longer needs the President’s nod, the Commission on Higher Education said on Tuesday.
EXPANDING the holding of face-to-face classes no longer needs the President’s nod, the Commission on Higher Education said on Tuesday.
CHED Chairman Prospero ‘Popoy’ De Vera III said that the decision to expand the coverage of the program will be made by the commission and the Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid19.
“This does not need presidential approval anymore. Sa susunod na batches, CHED and IATF na lang ang bahala,” he said.
The same system will be followed in the approval of other activities in the tertiary level.
De Vera noted that he requested the IATF to approve limited physical classes for medical allied students in July 2020.
The request was approved by President Duterte in January 2021.
Last month, CHED allowed in-person classes for all degree programs in the tertiary level in places under Alert Level 2.
On Monday, the government also allowed the resumption of athletic training.
