QC GOV’T PROVIDES DISTANCE LEARNING NEEDS OF TEACHERS, STUDENTS
QUEZON City Mayor Joy Belmonte pledged to continue providing the distance learning needs of public school teachers and students in the city.
“Malaki ang ginagampanang tungkulin ng ating mga guro sa pagpapanatili ng mataas na kalidad ng edukasyon lalo na ngayong panahon ng pandemya kaya sinisikap nating maibigay ang lahat ng kanilang pangangailangan, mula sa libreng check-up, gadget, at allowance,” Belmonte said.
The city government has given 3,210 laptops and 16,378 prepaid SIM cards with P1,000 monthly load allowance for teachers.
Teachers will also receive monthly cash allowance from the city. Similarly, 16,284 teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public elementary and high schools will get to enjoy free x-ray and urinalysis.
The city will distribute an additional 2,383 laptops.
Meanwhile, students in elementary and high school as well as special education students will receive school supplies.
Students from Grade 4 to 12 will be provided tablets with sufficient monthly data allowance, while those in kindergarten will be given storybooks.
