/ 31 August 2021

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education allowed three schools in Mimaropa region to hold limited face-to-face classes.

These schools are the Institute of Business, Science and Medical Arts, Inc. in Pinamalayan, Luna Goco Colleges, Inc. and Occidental Mindoro State College.

“Matapos dumaan sa inspeksiyon, amin nang pinahihintulutan na magsagawa ang tatlong paaralan sa Mimaropa ng limitadong klase na face-to-face,” CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said.

These schools are among the 118 higher education institutions given the green light to conduct physical classes for Academic Year 2021-2022.

These HEIs had their classrooms and laboratories retrofitted to ensure physical distancing and proper ventilation.

De Vera said that the commission will also allow in-person classes for Maritime and hotel management courses.

“Ang mga kursong pinahihintulutan ng face-to-face ay Maritime Engineering, Medical/Medicine at Hotel and Restaurant Management dahil kailangan ng mga ito ng hands-on at aktuwal na pagsasanay,” he said.
