His transfer to La Salle was mainly because of his eagerness to be under Coach Arnold Laniog whom he considered to be one of the best coaches and whom he knew since elementary. Moreover, he thinks that DLSU will help a student-athlete like him to maintain his balance between his academics and sport.

Kampton, 6-foot-2 spiker, scored an average of 15 points during National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 94 Juniors Indoor Volleyball where he earned his second Best Outside Spiker award.

His tandem with Hero Austria in NCAA Season 94 Juniors Beach Volleyball brought back the championship to the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA. Kampton was hailed as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Junior Altas Spikers also participated in League of Southern Manila Schools where Kampton snatched the MVP award and hailed as the Best Attacker for Secondary Boys Volleyball in 2018.

As he ended his volleyball journey with the Las Pinas-based squad, he expressed his gratitude to his teammates and coaches, Sandy Rieta and Jason Sapin.

“I may not be playing for my senior year in Perpetual, but it will always be my home,” Kampton shared in an online post.

With the hope of ending DLSU’s 7-year semis drought, he swore to do his best as he will face challenges for the team to make its much-awaited final four appearance once again.

“My career is not yet over. I’m just getting started,” Kampton expressed.
