CHINESE EMBASSY DONATES TABLETS TO MANILA LGU
THE CHINESE Embassy turned over 1,000 tablets to the city government of Manila to help in students’ distance learning.
Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian handed over the gadgets to Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso during an online ceremony.
Huang said the donation aims to aid in the implementation of the blended distance learning modality in Manila.
“The Chinese Embassy will continue to support the education endeavor of the Philippines to the best of our ability through the Chinese Government Scholarship and Chinese Ambassador Scholarship projects, among others,” Huang added.
The donation is part of the Distance Education Equipment Supporting Program initiated by the Chinese Embassy.
Domagoso thanked the embassy and said that the tablets will be distributed to students who are most in need.
“I believe that with the help of China, the Philippines will surely be able to overcome the pandemic and achieve economic recovery and social development at an early date,” he said.
