THE WORKS and literary pieces of three University of the East Caloocan professors were featured in various international publications.

Dr. Efren C. Gimoto Jr. of the UE College of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Eloida Carpio Dagumboy of the UE College of Business Administration, and Filmmaker-Professor Richard Soriano Legaspi of the UE College of Fine Arts, Architecture and Design made it internationally when their works were recently published.

Gimoto’s work, “Effective Broadcast Strategies for Bombo Radyo-Iloilo to Meet the Existing Broadcast Code of the Philippines” was published in the Journal of Public and Private Management (Vol. 25, No. 2) by the National Institute of Development Administration in Bangkok, Thailand.

It was first presented at the 6th Global Science and Technology Forum Annual International Conference on Journalism and Mass Communication in 2017 in Singapore, where he served as the session chair and evaluator for the conference’s best research paper.

Dagumboy’s research titled “Coverage Index of Various Communication Platforms: A Segmented Approach to Philippine University Marketing,” was published in print and online at the Jurnal Studi Komunikasi or The Indonesian Journal of Communication Studies (Vol. 3) in November 2019.

The paper assessed the effectiveness of the platforms employed by universities in the country, with coverage as the pivotal criterion, in an integrated marketing communications strategy and to determine the right assortment of communication platforms.

Meanwhile, Legaspi’s literary work, “Making Love with the Wind in the Time of Pandemic,” was part of “Plague 2020: Covid-19 Poetry and Art from Around the World,” a USA-based anthology of 130 poems from 35 countries reflecting various narratives of separation, misery, longings and hope that people across the globe experienced during quarantines and lockdowns.
