The former NU guard has committed to play for the Blazers after a brief stint of spending one season with the Bulldogs.

The announcement was confirmed by Oczon himself saying that “Feel ko kasi sa CSB ako mas maggro-grow more not only as a basketball player, but as a person na din.”

Oczon, 20, was among the players that left National University (NU) in November following their mass exodus of players headlined by Carl Tamayo, Gerry Abadiano, and Kevin Quiambao.

With Oczon’s transfer to the NCAA Taft-based squad, Coach Ty Tang shared how the former NU guard will contribute to their quest to make a final four appearance.

“Migs is a two-way player. He can shoot from outside and can play good individual defense,” said Tang.

“We like how he approaches the game as he let his actions speak when he plays. It’s always good to add a competitor in our team. We are all hopeful for the Blazers’ future.”

For his lone season with NU, Oczon averaged 4.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in 19 minutes of play.

He also suited up for the national team in the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in Greece.

Ozcon will be the additional piece to the Blazers along with his fellow recruit Will Gozum.
