GLOBE IMPROVES SERVICES IN CEBU CITY
GLOBE Telecom has improved its service in Cebu City as it continues its modernization campaign in Visayas.
As a result, Internet speed has become faster in Labangon, Guadalupe and Kalunasan.
The company’s customers in Sitio Kamanggahan in Monterrazas now enjoy an average upload speed of 22.8 mbps and download speed of 47.8 mbps “from nothing at all.”
Globe Senior Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group Joel Agustin said that the telecom company aims to upgrade services in Visayas and Mindanao.
“Our successful upgrades in Cebu City is an example of how we make connectivity more accessible, efficient and available to a wider coverage to include more customers in the coming new year,” Agustin said.
He said that Globe is set to finish its various network modernization activities in Davao City, Cagayan de Oro City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, Bacolod City, Iloilo City, and Boracay in Aklan.
“We need to anticipate the demand for connectivity, bigger data, products and services that will make the most of the limited resources of many Filipino households next year. To do this, we need more towers, better technologies, faster speed and ever improving quality of network service,” Agustin said.
