In its continuing mission to build and foster a community that celebrates art in its varying forms, LGAC, moves its annual gathering to take on the virtual platform amid the pandemic, with the upcoming three-day event KAPIT SINING 2020, happening this November 20- 22.
LGAC is a group of individuals from different walks of life brought together by the very passion for dancing and the arts, built since 2012. Over the years, the community has continued on with its quest by joining competitions both here and abroad, along with the launch of various dance classes. The team has since gained support and verve from the dance community for its unique, soulful choreographies and differentiated dance classes – all in the hopes of inspiring others through its craft.
Kapit Sining, since its inception in 2018, has been known for its purpose to unite the community and to celebrate its diversity through collaboration of different art forms: from the visual arts, music, literature, architecture, dance, theater, and film.
On its third year, Kapit Sining 2020 seeks to explore the possibilities of combining dance with film, asking the importance of looking at dance in the lens of another art form. Kapit Sining’s collaborative work, specifically dancing to live performance by different artists, was inspired by Para sa Sining, aimed at exploring more ways of integrating dance with other art forms, giving artists the opportunity to challenge the norm, to connect with each other and be able to share and revel in it.
This year’s three-day virtual event will feature dance classes from 15 choreographers both in the local and international scene, with pre-recorded videos uploaded on the LGAC website. On the other hand, a film output that pores over the collaboration between the film and dance will also be featured on the website. These videos will then be saved for three days, with community talks every night conducted via Zoom.

In college, he pursued Architecture, but it never stopped him from exploring different ways to present his artworks.
