LPU’S NEYMARK DIGNO BRINGS HOME FIRST-EVER NCAA SENIORS’ CHESS TITLE
Neymark Digno brought home the Lyceum of the Philippines University’s (LPU) first-ever title in the seniors’ division of the NCAA Season 96 online chess tournament.

The LPU’s bet outclassed Arellano University’s (AU) Carl Jaediranne Ancheta in the gold-medal match aired on July 29, Thursday, to claim the top medal.
Digno was the last player to secure a semifinals spot after he won over Perpetual’s Carl Zirex Sato in the semis.
Digno outshined 28 other players from the league’s seniors’ division for the online-staged chess title.
Meanwhile, Sato finished securing a bronze medal after beating St. Benilde’s Adrian Othniel Yulo.
