PSL BEACH VOLLEY TOURNEY RECEIVES GO-SIGNAL FROM IATF
Philippine SuperLiga’s (PSL) beach volleyball tournament is set to push through in a bubble concept in Subic this Nov. 27-29, as IATF approved its proposal.
“Pinapayagan na rin po ang beach volleyball tournament ng Philippine SuperLiga sa ilalim ng sports bubble concept,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.
PSL will return in the sand after its Grand Prix conference last March has been ceased due to the lockdown protocols.
The tourney is set to happen from November 27 to 29 at the Subic Tennis Court.
“I think it will be much, much easier from an organization standpoint, and Subic has been very, very helpful. They provided us with all of their regulations, with their protocol,” PSL President Ian Laurel stated.
Since it will be held in a bubble, the league will strictly follow the government protocols complying with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, the local COVID-19 Task Force, and the local Department of Health Center for Health Development.
In addition, the semi pro-league will comply with the JAO Group consisting of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB), Department of Health (DOH), and Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
PSL also invited PVL and BVR to join the 4-day league with a target of 16 teams.
This tourney is the fourth local sports that will take place in a bubble subsequent to PBA in Clark, Pampanga, PFL in Carmona, Cavite, and the Chooks-to-Go 3×3 Pilipinas in Calamba, Laguna.
