In the championship match held in Pattaya, Thailand on Saturday, May 27, the team suffered a defeat against the undefeated Chinese-Taipei with a score of 8-2.

The tournament had three World Cup berths up for grabs, and the Philippines, finishing second, secured one of those coveted spots.
“We take great pride in their remarkable achievement,” stated Jean Henri Lhuillier, the president of the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (Asaphil). “Their second-place finish exemplifies their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in the sport. We will continue to support them throughout and beyond the World Cup.”
National coach Ana Maria Santiago emphasized the need for the team to push even harder in preparation for the upcoming World Cup, scheduled to take place later this year.
