MIAMI — Nikola Jokic continues to etch his name in the history books with another remarkable performance.
The exceptional center displayed an unstoppable presence in Game 3, achieving an unprecedented milestone in NBA Finals history by recording a triple-double with 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jokic’s commanding performance propelled the Nuggets to a convincing 109-94 triumph over the Heat.
Jokic’s incredible outing not only made him a standout, but it also marked a significant moment in NBA Finals history. He and his teammate Jamal Murray became the first duo to achieve a triple-double each in the same finals game. Murray’s contributions were equally impressive, with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Despite a valiant comeback attempt by the Heat in the late stages of the game, trimming the Nuggets’ lead to a mere nine points in the final two minutes, their effort fell short. The final score may have appeared closer than it actually was.
The quarter scores were as follows: Nuggets 24 29 29 27 109; Heat 24 24 20 26 94.
Miami exhibited relentless determination throughout the contest, but the Nuggets’ lead proved insurmountable. Jimmy Butler led the Heat’s charge with 28 points, and Bam Adebayo delivered an impressive performance with 22 points and 17 rebounds. However, the supporting cast of the Heat failed to provide enough firepower to secure a victory.
