MPL-PH SEASON 7 POSTPONES ITS WEEK 3 MATCHES DUE TO ECQ EXTENSION
MPL-Philippines has decided to reschedule its Season 7 week 3 matches due to the extension of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), game developer Moontoon announced on Wednesday evening.
“Due to the extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine, the Mobile Legends Professional League – Philippines has decided to postpone this week’s matches,” read the statement.
“The safety and health of all players, coaches, talents, staff and their families are our utmost priority,” the statement added.
All 9-game matches in Week 3 will be partly compressed in the following week, which the league decided to prolong into four days starting from Thursday, April 15, up to Sunday, April 18.
Included in the statement is the revised Week 3 schedule, but no specifics on the exact lineup of matches for each day.
Day 1 – April 15, 2021, Thursday, 2:00 PM
Day 2 – April 16, 2021, Friday, 2:00 PM
Day 3 – April 17, 2021, Saturday, 2:00 PM
Day 4- April 18, 2021, Sunday, 2:00 PM
Cignal Ultra was set to open the week against Omega Esports, which is their debut in the season after sitting out two weeks of action and the league going on a Holy Week break.
Followed by Work Auster Force against ONIC PH, then Execration-Nexplay Esports against Nexplay.
Slated on Saturday were originally matches between the Cignal-Aura PH and Omega Esports, Omega Esports against Blacklist International, then Work Auster Force and Bren Esports.
The week was supposed to end with matches of Cignal-Laus Playbook Esports, BREN Esports-Blacklist International, and ONIC PH-Execration matches.
Currently, ONIC PH is currently leading in Group A with a 2-0 record for five points, while Blacklist International holds the number one spot in Group B with a 3-0 record with eight points.
